Pray For Us

As many of you are aware, I have accepted the call to be the Senior Teaching Pastor of Trinity Church in Lansing, Michigan. For those of you who prayed with and for us, we are thankful to God for you, your prayers and encouragement while we went through the lengthy and productive process. Although the process is over, the work is just beginning. We are excited about the adventure, but we know we can do nothing apart from Jesus. Here are some areas for which we ask you to pray:

1. Transition grace and wisdom
2. That we find the right school for our children
3. That our family builds a strong web of relationships
4. That God would increase my Cultural Intelligence Quotient
5. That I would practice good and wise exegesis of Trinity Church
6. That my Life Accounts (Faith, Priorities, Health, Family, Finance, Friends, and Service) will remain full and healthy
7. That we would remain connected to Jesus in the midst of the transition
8. That I would have a strong implementation of my Ideal Work Week
9. That God would lead us to the right house
10. That God would use us to bring many people to Jesus, for his glory
11.  That we would laugh a lot and have lots of fun

What transitions are you going through in this season of your life? How can my family and I pray for you during this transition time?

Father in heaven, I thank You for the call that You have placed on Marvin's life – that You have called him to Yourself for an eternal relationship with You, and that You are now bringing him to Trinity Church to serve Your kingdom in Lansing.
I know You know every single detail that needs to be worked out during this move, and I know You can manage each one. Father, as You hold Marvin and Tonia and their children close to Your heart, I pray You would show them Your power as You work out the details for them. Yes, Lord, show them Your goodness and faithfulness!
I'm asking it all in the wonderful, powerful, beautiful, matchless Name of JESUS. Amen and amen!

BTW, there are several houses for sale in my neighborhood! *grin*

  8. Marvinwilliams Says:

Karen, Amen and Amen! Thanks for your prayers. Merry Christmas!

My Brother, Indeed I will be praying for you and encouraging the church to do so as well. It has been my pleasure to be in relationship with you as a friend and a brother. I have learned from you and I know that Trinity will also benefit from your leadership. I will definitely continue to keep you, your family and the church(es) in prayer. Should you need a brother, I am here for you.

    Blessings,

Eula C. Gaddis, II – Pastor

Thanks, bro. I really appreciate your prayers and your friendship. My last Sunday at TCC will be January 10 and my first Sunday at Trinity will be February 27. There will probably be an installation service on February 20. Keep us lifted up. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  11. Carol Beard Says:

As I watched your installation the tears freely flowed down my face. Ten years of praying would God ever consider your ministering at Trinity and there you were. My heart is overflowing with thankfulness-there are no words to describe it. I was challenged by your message and love the 6 practical things to do. I want to be challenged and I want to grow-it may not always be easy but I don't want it to be easy. I am so thankful that you are willing to preach the truth and not tickle our ears. My family will be in prayer for you and we are so excited to have you and your beautiful wife and children with us-we are blessed beyond words. I look forward to having you in our home for dinner. I so want you to meet all of our family. It would be our privilege to help you in whatever way we can when you move from Grand Rapids.
