I'm much worse financially and have faced a lot more uncertainty during my journey as a Christian, but it has been much more fulfilling and rewarding than anything money used to buy me before. I am thankful for being given the opportunity to go through THIS! :)

Interestingly enough I read James 1:2-4 today and it speaks to exactly what you wrote about. The journey is as much a blessing as the end result.

Like is going to have its bumps in the road. But God is there to help us there through all rough times and good times.

Marvin, I love the way you have visualized this idea. It's similar to the buttercup story I told at the ODB rally. By the way, the Scripture I eventually used to illustrate the idea was Acts 14:22: “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

Wow, great imagery here. Life can be a real challenge sometimes with our rewards waiting for us in heaven. I know my wife reminds me of that quite frequently.

I think that if we can hold on tight to our spouse, when the road gets bumpy – it will bring us closer together and help us now how to support each other in future situations better!
