A friend of ours from a Riverview volunteered her house so that we could leave our kids and celebrate our fifth anniversary together, without the kids. It made us feel like we had God's favor, because we rarely spend any time away from our kids. We responded with gratefulness and an offer to pay for help (babysitter).

But kind to me, personally, and not through a friend of my wife's? I have a professor who is offering lunch this week....

Okay so I have another testimony; our landlords decided to reduce our rent by a significant amount for the next few months until I get financial aid in the fall again. I am with you PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO BE NICE but praise the Lord when they are!

My husband and I are going through a challenging season when it comes to our finances. We have had to depend on God now more than ever for His provision and truly He has been faithful in providing in the most supernatural ways.

Last week a couple from our church that we recently have been blessed to get to know and become friends with blessed us with some money. This came at a time where we had bread and water to live on until my husband got paid next. It made me feel loved and provided for by the Father and thankful for His body and our friends' obedience to Him. Our response was verbal gratitude, praying for God to bless them for being a blessing to us, and a thank you card. We also prayed for God to create an opportunity to bless someone else in the ways we have been blessed during this time.

And you're right, people do not have to be nice, and unfortunately we live in a world that emphasizes "me" and what "I" want rather than reaching out to those who may be in need. So when someone does something nice for us I definitely don't take it for granted and am grateful!
