It is the little things that make the biggest difference. I have had this happen to me on more than one occasion - a smile, a hug, a word, an email, a phone call, a card, etc. We should be sensitive to the leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit and respond immediately to what he says and directs us to do. I am trying to be consistent with the little things first. God wants me to be faithful over the small things and then he will trust me with bigger things. One I need to be mindful of as I am bombarded daily with ideas of how I can prosper and be a blessing to others in their quest to improve the quality of their lives. When I think about some of the problems we face in our society and wonder what little old me could do to make a positive difference in the lives of the multitudes of people who struggle with one challenge or another it can be a little overwhelming and discouraging especially when I see myself as insignificant.
